When my Dad told me he had a mixtape for me from his co-worker’s son, I admit I was skeptical. He asked me if I knew who Chris Webby was I had absolutely no idea. Even I’ll admit it, an aspiring rapper from Farfield County…mehh
After giving the mixtape a listen I was surprised— in a good way. A lot of the tracks have catchy beats, and hooks, he has a decent flow (at times), and he is dealing with content that is accessible to anyone (the struggles in pursuing his dream).
Though he has several songs that have a crossover, radio appeal [“OMG (On My Grind),” “Starry Eyed” “Get Loose”] he also has that “gangsta” *valley girl voice* appeal with songs like “Bulletproof” and “Almost There.”
